Physical Therapy practice seeking a qualified Massage Therapist to add to our dynamic outpatient team. Therapist must have extensive anatomical knowledge and experience working with injured and recovering clientele. A great portion of your clients will be undergoing concurrent physical therapy treatments, requiring excellent communication with team members for cohesive treatment for clients. The addition of Massage Therapy to our services will better serve our clients with the goals of relaxation and aiding physical therapists in restoring function and relieving pain.
Job Description: Part time with growth potential to full time, commission based at Stapleton, Wheat Ridge, and Cherry Creek office locations. Perform initial intake for all clients in a competent manner within the scope of practice of a massage therapist. Perform massage interventions that are appropriate for the client and completed in a competent manner. Work with physical therapists for extended treatment of physical therapy services. Maintain current license as required by state and profession of massage therapy. Participate in relevant continuing education courses to further scope of massage therapy. Accurately document treatments and provide extensive treatment notes for medical massage and massage extenders in a timely fashion.
Education: Graduated fro a Massage Therapy School with a minimum of 500 hours of training
License: Colorado License with DORA for Massage Therapy, required
Massage Therapist with training/experience in healthcare environment, preferred
Experience: Proficient in Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, prenatal/postnatal and myofascial release. Comfortable working with injured, sports or wellness patients.
Requirements: Proficient with computers. Able to lift 50 lbs often. Able to communicate professionally on the phone and in person.
