News About One of Our Denver Physical Therapists!
Adria Hendrickson, a deaf physical therapist at CCWC, has recently renewed her membership of the APTA, which is known as American Physical Therapy Association. The APTA has excellent resources that allow therapists to stay up to date with research information needed to perform evidence-based practice. APTA also provides therapists tools with how to improve services as well as customer care. Adria has also completed a kinesiology taping course which allows her to tape her patients effectively as part of the treatment plan. Taping is excellent for providing temporary relief while getting physical support, correct poor posture and biomechanics (the way the body moves mechanically) and sensory biofeedback (sensory information needed for treatment). Taping can also be used to help improve circulation including blood and lymphatic circulation.
