Try a Yearly Physical Therapy Check-up

Every few months we get the oil in our cars changed, we get a dental cleaning twice a year, we have our eyes checked, and we go get a physical from our primary care physician, so why not have a checkup for our muscles, bones and nerves? 

CCWC physical therapist’s are trained in the musculoskeletal system. We can help ease those aches and pains and decrease stiffness that have crept up and settled in over a few months.  For example, you may notice you wake up with a kink in your neck and a few days later it's still there.  This continues for a month or two, and you put off going to see someone about the pain, which now is making your head and shoulder hurt. Time continues and now it’s been six months and the pain is interfering with daily activities and you have stopped fun hobbies because it makes your neck hurt so bad.  You finally have it treated and it takes months and months of treatment before the pain really subsides. 

Short story, it is much easier and quicker to ease pains that are only a few weeks old or a month old vs 6 months to a year old.  Physical therapy “check ups” can be a useful way to make sure a little ache or pain doesn’t turn into something chronic and debilitating over time.
