Meet Andrew Trevino!
December 2, 2016
Lone Tree, Colorado (December 2, 2016) - Cherry Creek Wellness Center’s first CU Physical Therapy Program internship student, Andrew Trevino, took the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) this past October. The NPTE is a national board exam which all physical therapy students must take in order to practice as a licensed physical therapist upon graduation. Andrew passed the exam and scored an impressive 90%. Congrats Andrew!
Andrew has also completed his doctoral degree requirements for physical therapy and is transitioning to fully-licensed practice as the newest member of our provider team. His clinical education with CCWC has focused on surpassing entry level benchmarks in orthopedic examination and treatment techniques. The staff at Cherry Creek Wellness Center is very impressed with Andrew’s competency, clinical judgment, and compassionate professionalism. He is accepting new patients and is excited to join his colleagues in the field of physical therapy!
Andrew was born in El Paso, Texas, and grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has always been involved in athletics and has had his fair share of injuries, he says. Andrew’s interest in physical therapy initiated from his personal experiences and continued in college at Colorado State University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science (Sports Medicine) and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science.
Andrew currently lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife (Amanda) and two dogs (Baxter and Zoey). They enjoy exercising, trying new restaurants, visiting Colorado craft breweries, spending time with family, and rooting on their Colorado State Rams.
