Ashlea, a Topeka, KS native, received her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas in 2005. While at KU, Ashlea rowed on the varsity team for three years. She completed her physical therapy school at the University of Kansas Medical Center
in 2010 with her doctorate degree.
Ashlea decided to become a physical therapist at the age of seventeen when a relative of hers sustained a traumatic brain injury playing collegiate football and went through extensive physical therapy.
Currently, Ashlea is working at developing her orthopedic manual skills. She is certified in lumbar, pelvic, sacral manipulations and muscle energy technique, as well as Kinesio Taping, and functional dry needling.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, volleyball, running, and yoga.
